Taku Wairua Kura Program

Taku Wairua’s initial concept (mentoring program) evolved to the Kura Program with the support of life coaches, primary teaching experts and former clinical psychologist and high performance psychologist, David Galbraith.

The personal development program focuses on the four main pillars of well-being- Belonging and Identity, Self Discovery, Goal Setting and Citizenship.

Inspiring the next generation

So, how does it work?

The program is delivered fortnightly over ten sessions, spanning across two school terms. The program includes 2x guest speakers including one high profile athlete, and a volunteer excursion on the last session as a part of the Citizenship pillar.

Every session will be 50 minutes in duration, and students work through a Taku Wairua workbook which is a record of their progress throughout the program. Every session is led by two facilitators who deliver content through interactive activities and collaborative discussions.
